Paco Osuna

The passion for dance music caught him soon. At the age of 14 he was already frequenting the Studio 54 (Barcelona), at the full explosion of the acid house scene, to follow with passion the Raúl Orellana's sessions. After a few years of training as dj in different clubs around Spain, in 1999 started as resident at Amnesia (Ibiza), which allowed him to share sessions with djs of the international scene and to learn from all of them up to forming his own style. In 2001 he joined Cocoon team, and in 2005 joined Zenbooking, agency with the one he continues since then.

He has published for labels as Serial Killer, Mórbido or Real State. He’s the first Spanish producer in editing in both labels owned by a reference as Richie Hawtin (Plus 8 and M_nus). While still there sound the echoes of his remixes for Ambivalent and Skoozbot, both works requested by Hawtin, he has already new tracks ready to be edited at Ovum and Twenty. All that without neglecting his two own labels: Shake (created in 2003, to work with artists of the level as Rino Cerrote or Davide Squillace) and MindShake (his new label, where he shows in a more faithful way his current sound). In the last times he has been moving to the minimal techno. Osuna is producing a low speed techno, repetitive, rough and mental, which looks much more at the Detroit of the nineties (melodic, but mechanical and squared) or to Maurizio's Berlin (cold and deep), that to the colourist sound of Cologne. More (emotion) with less (resources).

Paco Osuna is nowadays one of the Spanish djs / producers of major international projection. His frequent tours have led him to being recognized in Europe, Asia, North America and South America. In Barcelona, in our days he’s linked to the Club 4, every Thursday in the City Hall. A real 'back to basics' show, with known artists, dedicated body and soul in transmitting to the people what the music makes them feel to them.
