After
starting her career in a classic format band,
Mar Abella (Sabadell) tackles
a project alone focused on pop and the electronic
music. In 2007 Mar published her first work, "M.A.",
at the label Natteam Music, focused on the pop
deep-triphop, and defended live combining the
electronics with analogical elements as piano
and electric guitars. This work showed her more
relaxed and introspective facet, giving her recognition
in the Catalan scene and media.
In our days, she’s preparing her second
album, this one focusing electropop techno, and
created to be defended alone, with computer and
keyboard, shooting bases and creating atmospheres.
Delicate pop sometimes, others not so much, manages
to join the aggressiveness of the techno beats
with the sensuality of her voice, creating sonic
landscapes that so much they entertain as thrill.
As if she did not have little in spite of singing,
composing and to producing her own songs, in 2008
she has collaborated with Guillamino and Pedrals
in their show En/Doll. This September she acts
at BAM (Festes de la Mercé, Barcelona). |
