The birth of the Barcelona duo First Aid Kit (Agnès Aran and Carles Querol) took place about one and a half years ago. Thanks to their first record, “F1rst”, they received favorable reviews that permitted them to start touring, at home and abroad. In April 2008, just before their performance at Sonar Festival, they published a second record, “Plaits”.
Their new work is not simply a follow up of “F1rst” and does not show an automatically predictable evolution. Agnès and Carles took us by surprise. “Plaits” is bringing them back to an exceptional graceful state. Much more direct, much more precise, much more organic. The ratio between what is electronic and what is the rest seems to be resulting from an exact calculation.
