Chymera
was born and raised in Ireland, but currently
lives in Barcelona. In his early teens he was
blown away by the controlled aggression and at
times deep melancholy of metal and alternative.
This music grabbed his heart and imagination to
such an extent he threw himself headfirst into
learning guitar so he could emulate his heroes.
Over the following years his passion also eventually
embraced folk and acoustic and by the age of 16
he was writing and recording his own guitar based
compositions.
Everything changed in 2000 when he was exposed
for the first time to electronic music and the
world was thankfully spared from yet another whining
singer songwriter. Quickly latching onto the melody
and aggression of techno, he learned how to dj,
and in 2002 made the transition to production.
His style flirts mainly between techno and house,
occasionally touching on electro and ambient.
He has already had a string of releases on labels
such as Ovum, NRK, Delsin and many others which
have brought him swiftly to the attention of discerning
music fans around the globe. |
